restful traditional stay!
convenient location tatami mats comfortable bed varied breakfast
i found the location convenient, being a short walk from the main station. the room had tatami mats. the futon bed was comfortable. i chose the japanese breakfast one morning and the western style the next, both were tasty.
the shared bathroom setup was a little inconvenient as it was in the hall for common use for two rooms.

The hotel provides a souvenir shop with local crafts. I bought a beautiful fan. they also had an ev charging station available, which i noticed when arriving, a great feature for electric car owners. It is located near the entrance.

The staff speaks english well. This made communication easy! the staff helped me send my luggage to my next hotel. Made my travels so much smoother and this was much appreciated. the staff was very helpful in general

Being asked to check in AGAIN at 3pm felt really annoying as if the room was no longer ours for 5 hours. The Japanese or continental breakfast seemed of very poor quality. It tasted tasteless like hospital breakfast.

authentic japanese experience
helpful staff convenient location food options
i found THE staff very friendly and helpful. they stored my luggage prior to check-in. this hotel is well located near bus stations, and not so far from the train station and food options.
the walls are thin. i could hear everything, but my neighbors were quiet.

underwhelming stay
the staff were helpful , i guess.
the room was much smaller than i expected , i almost felt claustrophobic. for a similar price , i've definitely stayed in more spacious rooms elsewhere. it was disappointing , to say the least , and i wouldn't exactly recommend it.
